Our young players don’t get to have all the fun. New players to the game include some of our great hockey parents, along with other adults interested in learning our great game. Our Adult Learn to Play program offers the same curriculum-driven development model as our Youth Learn to Play, tweaked slightly for a more discerning crowd. ALTP groups meet once per week for instruction, skill development, small-area games, and fun!. Just like our younger players, our adults will learn in ADM-style practices utilizing station-based drills and small area games to increase puck touches, player interactions, and decision-making all within the context of the game. ALTP programs run for 14 weeks from September through Mid-December, and again from January to Mid-April. Players can continue in the ALTP for as long as they wish, or move on to one of our Ion Adult Hockey League teams when they are ready for the big game!
ALTP players are grouped by skill level for our sessions so they can learn and develop in comfort, and have fun doing it.
