Coaching Team

Vas is a Master Rated PSA coach with over 25 years of experience in ice dance, moves in the field, and power skating. From brand new skaters to International competitors, Vas shares his knowledge and expertise in ice dance to skaters of all ages and levels. Prior to his professional coaching career, he was the National Champion for Latvia, German National Competitor, US National Competitor, and competitor at the World Championship and European Championship. 

Rashid is a National and World Medalist for the Soviet Union and competed at both the World Championships and European Championships in Pairs. After his competitive career, he turned professional and toured with the Ice Capades. He has been coaching singles and pairs since 1990 in Turkey and 1994 in the US. Since then, he has developed National Champions and International Competitors.

 Bert is a US National and International medalist in singles and pair skating as well as a regional and sectional champion in both disciplines. As a professional skater he was a featured performer for 15 years in various different companies including “Kings On Ice”, “Holiday On Ice” and “Disney On Ice”.  Bert also brings over 25 years of coaching and professional skating experience in single skating, pair skating and power skating.

Meagan is an accomplished freestyle competitor, show skater, and coach. During her professional career, she toured across Canada, the US, and Europe as a show skater for various Ice Show Productions such as Holiday on Ice and Disney on Ice. Today, she dedicates her time to teaching the future generation of figure skaters of all levels and ages. 

Maria Elena is an International freestyle coach to both recreational and competitive figure skaters with a focus on teaching technique and creating a positive environment for her skaters. During her competitive career, Maria Elena trained with Olympic coaches such as Mr. Gus Lussi, Peter Burrows, and other world class coaches which prepared her for a professional career performing in International Ice Show productions such as Nutcracker on Ice (arena tour), with Olympic gold medalists Brian Boitano, Oksana Baiul, and Viktor Petrenko, along with numerous Internationally touring shows for over 5 years. 

Yullia is an accomplished International Ice Dancer with an extensive competitive career in Freestyle and Ice Dance. She is National Champion of Belarus, Turkey, and Ukraine (Ice Dance and Freestyle), former member of the National Team of Ukraine, Belarus, and Turkey, and participant of the 2021 World Championship (Olympic qualifier). Coached by the world’s best ice dance and freestyle coaches during her competitive career, Yulia now shares her knowledge and passion with skaters of all ages and levels. 

Jimmie is a professional dancer with extensive training in hip hop, ballet, modern, jazz, tap, and African dance. As a dancer, he performed with Iconic artists such as Eve, Ciara, Pharrell, Gwen Stefani, Kendrick Lamar, and served as the principal performer in Jennifer Lopez’ Vegas residency, “All I Have”. After his professional career, he took on a new role as a choreographer and has been invited to teach around the world including New York, Israel, Italy, Paris, and Barcelona. Today, Jimmie brings with him his diverse and technical dance background to elevate the performances of Ion Figure Skaters.

Sergii is an experienced international freestyle coach, ISU Ice Dance Technical specialist, and National Single Technical specialist. With over 17 years of coaching experience, he's served as head coach of the Ukrainian government school of winter sports for over a decade. Sergii is a Silver medalist in Ukrainian National Championships and the Winter Universiade 2003. He specializes in harness lessons and levels of difficulties of elements in freestyle and ice dance.
