Bio

A native of Northern Virginia, Andrew has been a competitive ice hockey coach for the past 5 years.  With an emphasis on teamwork, hockey IQ, and skills development, Andrew was able to lead the Reston Raiders u19 AA girls team to the 2017 nationals.  In 2019, he enjoyed great success with the George Mason University coaching staff during their inaugural year of women's ice hockey where they were able to finish as the top team in the regular season and finished as the DVCHC D3 Finalist.  He also coaches the Herndon High School coed ice hockey team.  Andrew is a level 5 certified coach by USA Hockey.

With his love of the game, Coach Kucinich focuses on a teaching approach that promotes fun with an understanding of the game. Andrew emphasizes preparation, competition, on ice experience, and building the player's ability to analyze the game.  These key skills develop well rounded teammates who are not afraid of making mistakes and play together as a group to achieve goals.  With a tailored development plan and hard work, each player is able to measure their progress and successes over the course of the year.
