Travis has been a part of the Ion ITC team since it opened in June 2019. No stranger to launching new facilities, he is excited to help another organization see their vision become a reality. A lifelong athlete and sports fan raised right here in Loudoun, Travis is committed to utilizing the powerful platform of athletics, fitness, and coaching to positively impact his local community. He also coaches varsity football at Heritage High School as Defensive Coordinator.
A passion for athletics and football earned Travis a scholarship to Shepherd University, where he played five seasons at defensive end. After graduating with a degree in Sport & Event Management, he began his career with True Athlete performance, which coincidentally, primarily trained out of Hoop Magic (now The Fieldhouse). At that time, he was also hired as a varsity football assistant coach at Briar Woods High School. Travis is proud to have been a part of the BWHS football 2010, 2011, and 2012 state championship teams and 2013 State runners-up.
As general manager of the nZone in Chantilly from 2011-2018, Travis helped the business open its doors and built programming from the ground up. Alongside an enthusiastic team of managers and staff, Travis guided the nZone to help over 500,000 people annually reach new goals, start new fitness regiments, get involved in camps and clinics, compete in youth and adult leagues, and much more.
In 2018, Travis joined Chantilly Youth Association as the general manager of The Fieldhouse, where he helped CYA and The Fieldhouse develop new fitness programs, youth and adult leagues, camps, and a wide range of other internal and partnership programs.
Travis is married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica. The Huffs reside in Leesburg with their two children, Bear (7) and Bree (5), and three crazy dogs, Penny (11), Dexter (9), and Molly (1).
