SUMMER ADVANCED TRAINING PROGRAM
Virginia, Maryland & D.C. Metro areas top hockey players!!!
"NForcers" is the elite AAA Selects Training program during the Summer that is executed with the same values and priorities as the Ion Hockey culture. We want to give talented Virginia, Maryland & D.C. Metro areas youth hockey players the opportunity, in the off-season, to travel outside the state to compete at the Tier AAA level. Our players are exposed to passionate mentoring and coaching to help steer their young careers in a healthy direction. We provide the utmost team-oriented environment and unmatched guidance for player enthusiasm. NS is a program specifically designed for the best of the best! We will offer players the ability to train with the best to take their skills to the next level. This program pushes athletes to enhance their overall skills on and off the ice.
The ON-ICE training
The ON-ICE training will aim to develop you in all areas of the game. All athletes will be pushed and expected to perform on-ice drills at game speed with game intensity. We will be using the most up-to-date hockey training techniques and tools combined with technology teaching (real-time on-ice video break-down). On-ice goalie training will also be included during each session. Skills specific and reaction training will be the focus while situational and strategic conversations will be utilized during the in-game drills while receiving shots. Each on-ice practice is 1hr and 20min. (50min. of pure instruction and a 20min. high intensity scrimmage at game speed!).

The OFF-ICE training
The OFF-ICE training will focus on development of efficient motor skills and muscle activation patterns progresses into dynamic motion with an emphasis on lumbo-pelvic stability. We will improve each athlete’s glide platform positioning for skating and improve functional movement patterns for hockey developing a faster, stronger and more proficient athlete. This will unlock each athlete’s full potential. Athletes will train in our state-of-the art gym, Specialty training room, and outdoor turf. Each off-ice workout is 1 hour (weights, turf, core training modified per birth year).
